“However tired I feel on a Wednesday, I know that Alan, Roger and the choir will put a smile on my face and I will return home refreshed and ready to face the world once again. It gives me the opportunity to sing some fabulous works amongst welcoming friends, without a sense of pressure. ”
When we meet
We meet on Wednesday evenings during school term times starting promptly at 7.15pm and finishing at 9pm. Our first rehearsal of the year is usually in the first week of September and our choir season ends with our final concert in late June/early July.
Our term dates for 2024 are:
SUMMER: Wednesday 17th April – Wednesday 26th June
Mid term break is Wednesday 29th May (no rehearsal)
All the dates below are provisional, but they give a rough idea of dates for the 2024/25 season. These dates will be confirmed shortly.
AUTUMN: Wednesday 4th September - Wednesday 18th December
Mid term break is Wednesday 30th October (no rehearsal)

SPRING 2025: Wednesday 8th January - 2 or 9 April 2025 (tbc)
Mid term break is Wednesday 19th February (no rehearsal)

and where
We rehearse in Northfleet School for Girls, Hall Road, Northfleet, Gravesend, DA11 8AQ. There is plenty of parking in the school car park accessed via the clearly signposted Entrance A. Disabled parking spaces are also available near the main school entrance. Enter via the main school entrance. Please arrive early if you can as the security door will be closed once all choir attendees have arrived. Concerts take place in either St George’s church, Gravesend or Rochester Cathedral.
