Concert info

NOTE:

On the concert day there is a carnival in Gravesend which may affect both traffic and parking as it starts at 1.30pm. Please allow extra time to arrive for the rehearsal and find a place to park. Share lifts where possible. Please note, that you may obviously wait in the church for the rehearsal after 2pm but do not take your seats until told to as the soprano will be rehearsing with Francesca and please wait quietly. Thank you.

Concert day timetable:

  • 1.55pm helpers arrive

  • 2.15pm choir arrive, but please wait quietly until soloist has finished rehearsing and do not find seats until told to

  • 2.30pm - 5pm rehearsal

  • 7.10pm arrive for concert

  • Drinks after the concert

GENERAL CONCERT REMINDERS

Black folders with our choir logo will be available to borrow on concert days for those members who do not own one.

Usual concert dress (this may vary for specific concerts) Check at Updates & news for any info on upcoming concert. If none, assume the following applies.

Sopranos and altos: long black skirt or trousers, plain black top with long sleeves, muted scarlet scarf (available from Elspeth if you do not have one)

Basses and tenors: black trousers with a plain long-sleeved black shirt (no longer using the red bow ties)
