The choir’s professionalism and commitment shone through in their performance.
It was a joy to work with them again.
— Tabitha Reynolds, mezzo-soprano soloist for Elijah at Rochester Cathedral

Choir members: go to When and Where for 2024 TERM DATES.

Our March concert was another triumph. Mozart’s music was very joyful, raising the spirits, and our soloists’ voices soared, seemingly effortlessly, into every corner of St George’s! We are now rehearsing for our June A Summer Celebration concert. This is a mix of music from Elgar to Fauré to Vivaldi. We would especially love you to join us in the audience for this one as we say farewell to our much-loved conductor, Alan Vincent, who so many of you will know as he has been with the choir for over 40 years. Not only that, but Roger, our brilliant accompanist, is also stepping down. Before we look forward to new choir adventures, we need to give these two marvellous people a great send-off. There may even be one or two surprises in store for the audience…

If you are thinking of joining the choir, please get in touch via our enquiry page or just come along after checking rehearsal details. The website will always provide the most up to date information about rehearsals. All details of rehearsals can be found on the WHEN AND WHERE page.

Gravesham Choral Society is a large choir of friendly and enthusiastic singers who rehearse weekly in Gravesend, North Kent, with inspirational conductor Alan Vincent.  We regularly perform with professional singers, orchestral musicians or organist at St George’s Church, Gravesend and at Rochester Cathedral. We are open to all.
